We have had a discussion with Christian months ago on how to deal with icon design. Ergosign was one of the suggestions.

Yes they were - but the icons on the linked page do not follow the Windows desktop icon design guides at all. They would not fit the other icons on the bar, which are mostly icons of programs the users add there.

What do you think about complete set by efesreal (moved to http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=44091)?
As for me it's just awesome!

As far as I remember he told, that he used an icon from here and there. So there might be copyright issues. Also there are only 16x16 and 32x32 icons.

Oh, I see. But may be it's possible to determine source and license them to TC?

I didn't create. I collect, combine, edit, sometime create each of them.

How does TC detect 'installed' buttonbar icon packs? Since there is a combobox, I suppose there may be more than just one additional pack.

And is there a way to choose library not listed in selection dialog? I already have icon library named wcmicon2.dll so I can't test this one...

Yes, name them wcmiconsomething.dll. TC searches for wcmicon*.dll.

There is either a bug or some implicit name restrictions. When I name test icon library WCMICONS_Flat.DLL TC does not see it though it definitely falls under the mask wcmicon*.dll.

Ah yes, there is one more restriction: You need to add a versioninfo resource with at least the description field set to a short English string which clearly identifies your library. TC uses that to distinguish between libraries even if their name changes.

But the test flat library does not have version resource. And yet, it is detected by TC when it's named wcmicon2.inc, and not detected when renamed into wcmicons_flat.dll.

I've copied totalcmd.exe into wcmicon77.dll - TC sees it.
I've put flat icon library's DLL as WCMICONS_flat.DLL - TC doesn't see it (file has no version info).
I've added version info (FileDescription is set) to WCMICONS_flat.DLL - TC doesn't see it.
I've renamed this DLL to WCMICON999.DLL - TC still doesn't see it...
