I don't think so, for me look quite ugly....
Maybe it's so ugly because the screenshot was saved as JPG rather than PNG.

No, because there isn't white frames (separators between elements of UI)
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

I guessed that, but was not sure ;)

Yes, the DarkListBorders=0 helps, but you don't get the cleaner aspect of Paul's image.

I really like Visual Studio 2019, but of course YMMV
but if colors are customizable everyone can get what he likes better

I really think that for this kind of image the file format doesn't make any difference :)

There is nothing to laugh about here.

How old are you? Do you use glasses?

Which color (of many blurred colors) should I pick for TC? Is there any proper color saved at all?

Usher,
While I agree that PNG is preferable for screenshots, the point of the screenshots were the frames (lines) in one image vs. no frames in the other, which are clearely visible despite the JPG compression.

like Roman said.
it's about the frames, not the exact color of the backround. it can be black or red or wathever, as long as someone can define it in options.

and Usher, please forgive me, it's a smile, I'm not laughing at you, I didnt' mean to offend anyone. I'm sorry if I did

this is a (png this time) screenshot of VS2019 look, without frames (more or less)

If I can' t check the real color of any element (including frames), I can't be sure which of them is generated by TC and which one is passed by the system.

And some pixels may be artifacts of lossy compression. Some people use an option to sharpen image which may generate fake borders between areas filled with different colors.

2Paul Mountit
Using shades of blue color is not recommended for dark style.
And you can use more styles for both normal and dark mode, if you wish, just redirect needed sections of wincmd.ini to other files. See this topic: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=54949&p=363265#p363265

I don't think that was the point of the images. The image with the frames shows frames as they currently are in TC, you don't need an image to check that. The image without the frames does not have any frames to check.

Roman
again: like Roman said.

so let me try again: on the left, visual studio 2019 dark ui, which I really like
center: actual dark ui of tc
right: tc with frames (lines) removed to look like vs 2019

I don't mind the actual shade of grey/black in the pic, I'd like to be able to remove the frame lines
IF this is possible, I'll be happy and I'll use it, if it is not possible, nevermind.
I know that tc is about functionality, not look and feel

to usher:
the colors are the default one, I know about color settings and redirection possibility,
this is from my wincmd.ini:

[PrintDir]
RedirectSection=%$COMMANDER_PATH%\INI\history.ini
[NewFileHistory]
RedirectSection=%$COMMANDER_PATH%\INI\history.ini
[Searches]
RedirectSection=%$COMMANDER_PATH%\INI\history.ini
[COLORS]
RedirectSection=%$ONEDRIVE%\INI\colors.ini
[ColorsDark]
RedirectSection=%$ONEDRIVE%\INI\colors.ini

and this has nothing to do with frame lines.
but: "shades of blue color"? I don't understand what are you talking about with this.
