Skip empty dirs on copy

Post by *isidro » 2017-11-16, 16:18 UTC

I'm very pleased with the new option for filtering on copy, but there should be a tick to only generate dirs when there's something to put on it. (Avoid generating empty dirs). Now it's difficult to clean up all empty dirs.

There is! Just append: |**\

For example, if you only want to copy Text files and no empty subdirectories, use:
*.txt |**\

Thanks! Is there a way to search for empty dirs?

Yes, there is. Get the DirSizeCalc plugin and use its field "Empty" (or "Contains Files" in conjunction with "Contains Subdirectories") in TC's search, on tab Plugins.
