Is it just me or does this new forum have a massive spam control problem?

After some time passes (usually about 15 minutes after your last edit of the post), you cannot edit it.

That's not good  - in the old forum the person who opened a topic could always edit the first post - especially necessary in the Plugins and Addons forum, so the author of the plugin can update, when new versions are available etc.

I'm talking about the first post #1, this feature is important for plugin/addon author when he needs to update his announce topic.

Ah, i see. I'm not sure if phpbb3 distinguishes between 1st or "rest of posts". Perhaps Christian will have to perform some manual alterations in this case.

EDIT: BTW, i downloaded ultra_tc_editors_640_rc_8.rar (program files only) from your site and the file is corrupted.

Hmmm. Indeed, 7zip reports it's OK. I must have some older 7z libraries in a TC plugin...

I'll check it out. Thanks for verifying petermad...

There is something wrong with the styles AllanStyle-SUBSILVER and prosilver (user data: left side) on mobile device, that is individual post options (e.g. Replay with quote, Report this post, Delete post) are disabled. Can anyone confirm this?

I tried to go back - the last posting (not necessarily the first in a topic), I can still edit is from the 18th of July - so that's 11 days - it might be more but my next posting back is from the 13th of July - which I cannot edit anymore - so between 11 and 16 days.

Either that or you can always edit your last post regardless of the time passed.

In any case, the creator of the first post should always be able to edit it.

phpbb has this setting:
Limit editing time:
Limits the time available to edit a new post. Setting the value to 0 disables this behaviour.
I think this refers to the last post in a thread. This should be set to something small (i.e. 15 or 30 mins). There is no separate setting for the first post though. I'm guessing this may require either a plugin or manual editing of at least one php file...

Editing posts is limited to 14 days to reduce vandalism.
I have modified the forum now, so you should be able to edit the first post without time limit. Please try it!

Correct move Christian. Isn't "14 days" a bit much though? IMHO, editing a post after 15, 30 mins max may be a little risky because many people will have read it by then.

I have modified the forum now, so you should be able to edit the first post without time limit. Please try it!
Peculiar - if I navigate to my page "Extended Menus for TC 9.20 - Updated July 6th. 2018" or if I search for it, I get to this page: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33740 - this one I can NOT edit.

If I in stead use this URL that I have had bookmarked from before the new forum: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=242336 - then I can edit the first post (actually I can edit all my own posts on that page!)

-------

On the other hand - I also have this in my bookmarks from the old forum: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=34152 and this one I can NOt edit - If I navigate to the page it is now called: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34152

So it doesn't really work yet!
