Custom columns won't let me use some plugins

Post by *peterbbrown »

I am trying to configure a simple custom column view which shows at a minimum the duration of media files (usually MKV) in the format h:m:s. Apparently my installed plugin MediaWDX does this but when I try to configure the custom column it doesn't show up in the list of sources for fields. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to add a plugin to the "authorized" sources for fields, please?
I have one view which sort of works but only shows duration in seconds. It uses shelldetails.Length and I edited the shelldetails.ini file as the creator suggested in the readme file, using the following values:
Caption=Length
UseDefault=0
Cast=2
Operator=47
Operand=10000000
Perhaps I could edit this but I don't know what sort of value to put in "operand" which controls this.

May you missed some details to install it correctly
Readme of mediainfowdx wrote: Installation:
1. Install the plugin as other content plugin.
2. Go to https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download/Windows
Download DLL version of MediaInfo.
Put the MediaInfo.Dll into plugin folder or any searchable folder.
For x64 system, rename MediaInfo.Dll to MediaInfo64.Dll and put it into plugin folder or any searchable folder.

Hi sqa_wizard,

Could you help me?

I would like to use mediainfo (32bit) with TC, but either something is not clear or I am doing something wrong.
I tried what you wrote, but it is not working

(This what i am done:
-Installed mediainfowdx
-Downloaded DLL version of MediaInfo
-Put the MediaInfo.Dll into - plugin folder
-mediainfowdx folder
-any searchable folder
but still missing something.)

I am interesting especially quicktime movies metadata
for example medianifo.exe gave this:
com.apple.quicktime.location.ISO6709 : +35.9999+014.5555+002.999/

I would like to list a bunch of this type of data in total commander.
Thanks
