I just used the "Find Files" function to search for a file that had a long name.
The file was named the following:-
iomd880_2._change_of_ownership_form_proof3_nov
I entered that in the search box... but no results came back?
It was only when I shortened the file name to iomd880_2 did it find the file?
Interestingly if I searched for the whole file name and the .pdf extension it found it no problem?
Any reason for this behaviour?
TIA Steve

Re: Find Files Oddity?
From TC help
Find Files: General (mk:@MSITStore:TOTALCMD.CHM::/dlg_search.htm)
Find Files: General (mk:@MSITStore:TOTALCMD.CHM::/dlg_search.htm)
When the search string contains a dot, Total Commander will look for the exact name match.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
