Drag the divider between the two sides all the way to the left or right.

If you can't follow such simple advice you should better stay with Explorer.makinero wrote: ↑2019-03-09, 14:34 UTCI completely misunderstood, some mini-tutorial? / Screenshot?clifford_cooley wrote: ↑2019-03-05, 06:55 UTC Drag the divider between the two sides all the way to the left or right.

@Hacker - Horst.Epp to play the smart guy.
Re: How to remove the right column/panel (right explorer) ?
Makinero, divider is that bar in the middle, between left and right 'explorers'.
Re: How to remove the right column/panel (right explorer) ?
Code: Select all
cm_100Percent
Re: How to remove the right column/panel (right explorer) ?
I am guessing that you by "right explorer" maybe mean right Separate Tree:
Use:
If you still want a Separate Tree in the left side.
Or:
If you don't want any Separate Trees
Or: Press Shift+Ctrl+F8 several times until it looks like you want it.
BTW, there are 113 menu items in a standard TC menu. But maybe that is not what you are referring to by "98 options."
There are 821 - 1009 menu items in my Extended Menus
Use:
Code: Select all
cm_SeparateTree1
Or:
Code: Select all
cm_SeparateTreeOff
Or: Press Shift+Ctrl+F8 several times until it looks like you want it.

Re: How to remove the right column/panel (right explorer) ?
If my explanation below is not sufficient. Perhaps you should explain in better detail, what it is you are asking for.
Total Commander by default is a side by side window for file management. The divider between the two sides will allow you to change the percentage designated for each side. Making the percentage 0% or 100% will hide either the left or right side [or explorer as you described]. It is easy. mouse down on the edge of the divider and then move to one side or the other.

If you move the mouse pointer slowly between the panels, then on the left side of the vertical buttonbar a column separator will appearmakinero wrote: ↑2019-03-09, 14:34 UTCI completely misunderstood, some mini-tutorial? / Screenshot?clifford_cooley wrote: ↑2019-03-05, 06:55 UTC Drag the divider between the two sides all the way to the left or right.
(similar to Excel). Click with the left mouse button on this one - a thick black dividing line appears.
Hold down the left mouse button and drag this line as far as possible to the right edge.
If the vertical buttonbar is hidden, simply place the mouse pointer exactly in the middle between the two panels,
the column separator becomes visible then.

tuska - Thanks for the picture tutorial, now I understand it.
Issue1:
But when you open the folder, a long list of files shows in two windows.
Name + Ext
Issue 2:
This setting is not remembered the next time start the TC.

Change
Code: Select all
FROM: cm_srcshort (menu "Show" - "Brief Ctrl+F1")
TO: cm_srclong (menu "Show" - "Full Ctrl+F2")
and then save this settings with menu "Configuration" - "Save position".

Re: How to remove the right column/panel (right explorer) ?
I ran into issues with TC remembering my settings. I always use take ownership (registry change gives "Take Ownership" from right click context menu) of TC folder. For me it is a permissions issue preventing saving settings to ini file.
