Auto-Rename target file limitations

Yesterday I was copying all my 'folder.jpg's from my entire music collection to another (single) directory to be able to sort them after resolution properties in a third-party program. Because of the fact that all of the files have the same name ('folder.jpg'), I used the 'Auto-rename Target Files' when copying. The copying stopped after 999 files of ~1500. It seems the auto-rename target function uses three digits and therefore has a limitation of 999 files. ('Folder (999).jpg') so it just stopped when it reached 999.

Could this be increased by a couple of digits in the next version of TC ?

You should better use Multi Rename Tool to change file names before copying…
