Strarting lister via the command line

Post by *era »

I use TC 9.12 x64
I want to load my file with lister in TC via the command line. So I use
%COMMANDER_EXE% /s=l c:\file.txt

And I see a standalone started lister, like when I use F3 in TC:

But I want it (like when I use Ctrl + Q):

Is it possible?

Standalone lister means standalone, not quick view. The latter is integrated into TC. So, I'd say it's not possible.

I think the question is for a TC commandline switch to activate Lister the same way Ctrl+Q does. I'm not seeing evidence in the following link that supports command-line file managing parameters.

And what about integrated listers? It's impossible too, as I understood?

The question is: What do you want to achieve? Either you want quick view, which is integrated into TC, i.e. replaces one of the panels. Or you want a Lister window, which is a separate window, regardless of whether or not it is shown in a separate TC instance (which then only contains that Lister window).

Can you describe - step by step - a scenario what you want to do, and what exactly is missing in TC that prevents it?
