Find in File windows should be non modal

Post by *tetardd »

Find File. Long list of hits. Open one. The find result closes. If the file you opened not the right one, go back to menu Commands\Search...

It would be easier if the Result windows stayed open non modal so that I can just click again on the next file found, then the next, then the next until I find what I'm after! It saves my hundreds of going back to the menu.

Click "Feed to listbox" and open your search results from there.

You can run the "Find file" function as a non-modal standalone function - press Alt+Shift+F7 in stead of Alt+F7, or use the internal command cm_SearchStandalone
