Any presets or hot-keys in TC to export file listings available?

Post by *cuneiform » 2019-11-18, 18:54 UTC

Hi,

please do advise me whether there are any presets or hot-keys standardized anyway available, say, as Ctrl+C / V just to export them, say, to the Clipboard or otherwise. And how one should have to proceed then after having selected them to export. That without any plugins.

THX.

You mean menu Mark > Copy Selected Names to Clipboard and the three other items below that?

Something like that.
Say, after one's search there is a listing available.
I make Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, then I can save a copy/paste as a .txt file.
Exported.
Now, let's take any directory and its listing.
Say, I've made a selection (in red).
How can I export this selection through hot-keys?

You can define your own hotkeys mapped to the appropriate cm_ commands in Configuration > Options > Misc section. The relevant commands can be found in the Clipboard section of the TC command browser (titled "Choose command") which appears after you select a hotkey and click on the button with the magnifying glass.

There are some commands to save selection to file, assign your desired hotkey to any of these commands

Code: Select all

cm_SaveSelectionToFile
cm_SaveSelectionToFileA
cm_SaveSelectionToFileW

cm_SaveDetailsToFile
cm_SaveDetailsToFileA
cm_SaveDetailsToFileW

I guess, that's extremely important while using TC!

What do the letters A & W in FILENAME commands mean? (What is the difference)

Thanks a lot!
