Thumbnail only images

Hi,

Searched forums and google but nothing...

Can i restrict the Thmbnail view only for images? (JPG, PNG...) maintaining the listed view for folder and DOC, PDF...

No, not if this mix of files are in the same folder.
I guess there is no file manager which does this.

Would be really cool, my Desktop tab has lot of pdf and docs which i cannot see the entire name when Thumbnail for images is active

When you hover over an item it shows the full name and other details.

Mmm not in my case, is there anything i should adjust? even this is not the best approach. BTW, is there a way to have Quick View working inside TC?? (https://github.com/QL-Win/QuickLook)

TC has its on Quick view, no need for QuickLook.
The setting for the info on hovering is in the Display options under Help texts

Also the Quick View with Ctrl-Q is fine for scrolling thru a lot of files regardless of its type.

Yes, install the SLister plugin which uses SumatraPDF
https://totalcmd.net/plugring/slister.html
You should update the SumatraPDF files inside of the plugin dir with the files from actual portable version
https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/prerelease.html

You may also have SumatraPDF itself installed and just point the SLister to the installed SumatraPDF.

Yes, here my SLister.ini for example

I installed the x64 version of SumatraPDF using the full installer
which also allows to set the options for Windows Indexing and Windows Preview.

Alternatively you could also use thumbnail mode for exclusive pictures/pdf/ect in one panel, while the other panel still showing list view for all files:
