Set Height of Menu Bar Above Horizontal Button Bar

Post by *jinsight »

Does an option exist to set the height of the menu bar that is above the horizontal button bar?

This is a system-wide setting and depends on the current scaling factor (e.g. 150%). In older Windows versions, it was possible to change this via control panel, but Microsoft has removed this in Windows 10. There seem to be third party programs to change it, though.

You can try and edit these Windows Registry setting:

Code: Select all

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]
"MenuHeight"="-315"
"MenuWidth"="-315"
You have to change both to the same value - for a higher menu bar increase the absolute value (to for example -400). You have to log out and in of your Windows 10 account for the change to take effect.
