Sorting Directories and Files in a mixed List (Feature Req.)

Post by *knowbody »

I would suggest a sorting mode, where directories and files are sorted in one mixed list.

It would look like (if alphabetical sort ist active)

Alpha (Directory 1)
Beta (File 1)
Delta (Directory 2)
Gamma (File 2)
Omega (File 3)
Phi (Directory 3)
...

So also Links (.lnk) to dirs would be sorted along "real" dirs.

What do You mean?

P.S. This is not the same as the option Display / Sorting Directories / Like files !

Sorry to disappoint you, but that won't be implemented, because too many functions in TC rely on dirs being shown before files in the file list.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Just curious... Doesn't Gamma actually go before Delta in the Greek alphabet?

BTW: I suport++ (y)

... I think you are right ;-)
Thanks for the hint and thank you for your supporting comments. Despite of the consequences for implementation ... couldn't this be a USP :-)
