Shown size & number of files in directory

Post by *joon123 »

I'm certain there used to be this option but cannot remember have to make it happen. I wish the footer to show the number of files in a directory or sub-directory - can anyone please help?

Is the "Full" view (Show Menu > Full) or CTRL+F2 what you are looking for?

or use the plugin "DirSizeCalc" (https://totalcmd.net/plugring/dirsizecalc.html) and create a custom column view with it.

Since this thread isn't in German, it should be moved to the English subforum.

You can see the number and space occupied by files and directories in the footer i Full View, Thumbnail View, Comments View and Custom Columns View, but you can NOT see it in Brief View and Tree View.

In order to see the directory count, you have to enable "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Tabstops" -> "Show directory count in footer"
