How to mount and manage a group of files with extension Q99?

I downloaded from e-mule an old English Book collection named New Concept English. This collection has 4 volumes and all must have image and sound files. The first volume came in 72 files named as NCEAS1001.q99, NCEAS1003.q99 NCEAS1005.q99 until NCEAS1143.q99. Does someone know what extension is this? I opened the first file via UniversalViewer to try to discover the type of the files. But it not recognized them in no one type. But it was possible to identify in the header, of all files, the first 15 hexadecimal codes, that formed the word Q99courseware9. Only these codes recognizable. They seem to be zip or rar files. Any suggestions on how to open or mount this group of files? I searched the Net and found nothing. Would a debugger do that? Would Total Commander help me to mount these group of files?

It must be some poprietary format - all I could find for q99 is "Intuit Quicken", a finance management software. But I don't think that this is applicable to your files...

They seem to be zip or rar files.

If so, there is a chance that you can open them in TC with Ctrl+PgDn
