auto expand sub-folders when parent folder is selected

Post by *blubtc2 »

Does Total Commander have the option to auto expand 'recursively' the sub-folders [screenshot callout #2] when a parent folder [screenshot callout #1] is clicked?

if not, are you aware of another utility/program that would do this?

Thanks in advance.
Brad

2blubtc2, hi and welcome.

Just click at the "> arrow" or "+ symbol" left of the folder name, to expand the folder in the tree panel.
Not at the folder name itself.

That?

I think the recursive part is relevant here: all subfolders should be expanded too.

Like in Windows' File Explorer. There you can:
- Select a folder in the folder-tree
- Press * on the numeric keyboard

All subfolders of the selected folder will be expanded.

I don't know a way to accomplish this in TC (which certainly doesn't mean there isn't one ..)

Ah c'mon, man. Read the opening post and it is really pretty obvious what it is about and how the screenshot annotations should be interpreted.
I would have suggested some oral intake of caffeine, but looking at the clock i think that it isn't such a good advice right now... ;)
