TC10 installation wish: Folder name "TotalCmd" instead of "totalcmd"

Aaahhh.... TC10! Congrats Christian! 2-digits main version number!

A small wish for a long awaited change in the installation process:

Installer:

Default to c:\Program Files\totalcmd on new systems. If the user fails to get admin rights, change to c:\totalcmd

Could this please be changed to C:\Program Files\TotalCmd?

Personally, i'm tired of constantly changing this every time i happen to install TC.

Hmm, upper-/lowercase doesn't matter for now, the file system is case insensitive. What do other users think?

In the German version I prefer "C:\Program Files\Total Commander" But wanderers suggestion is better than the actual path "C:\totalcmd".

PascalCase ("TotalCmd", "TotalCommander") or proper capitalization with space ("Total Commander") preferred by me over all lower case (or snake_case/kebab-case) by a wide margin. Although, long folder names, especially with space(s), might perhaps not be such a good idea wrt very old vintage systems. (Hmm, does TC10 still support Win3?)

That said, for me it's just aesthetics, so in the end i am not getting fuzzed over "totalcmd" either. And i am 100% neutral about drive letter case - i probably wouldn't even notice if you ever change the drive letter case in the installation path to upper case.

Yup, for me too and sine Windows is case insensitive, it shouldn't cause any technical problems.

For years, I've been installing in "%ProgramFiles%\Total Commander", so I also prefer camel case.

Well, to be more precise "upper camel case" is meant, which starts upper case .

I have always been renaming the installation dir into "TotalCmd". I'd like to see it like this by default.

the default path should be "%ProgramFiles%\Total Commander". it's the expected path and behaviour. most programs use that path as default too.
the software is called "Total Commander" - why wouldn't it be installed as such?

most experienced (old) users will still use their own paths (including myself). but from a regular user standpoint "%ProgramFiles%\Total Commander" should be the default.

I actually don't mind. If you decide that the folder should be "TotalCMD" I don't see any reason why anyone would be bothered by it. It can only help people.

* Default inside %ProgramFiles% - "%ProgramFiles%\Total Commander"
