Packing to all-caps file leads to all-caps extension

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Packing to all-caps file leads to all-caps extension

Post by *mikeyww »

This is a minor issue. I find that when I am packing to an archive with an all-caps default file name, TC creates an extension that is also in all caps. It is unexpected and unwanted.

This is intentional because it looks very ugly otherwise, e.g.
test.txt -> test.zip
Test.txt -> Test.zip
TEST.TXT -> TEST.ZIP

It's a major problem because TC can be used on Unix-like systems via Wine (I've tried it myself on Kubuntu!). And those systems are strictly case-sensitive.
