Total Commander for Symbian devices

Does anyone know if there is a pocket version that will work on sybian phones or if there is any plans on developing a version of Total Commander for symbian?

I'm sorry, no. The PocketPC version was already a lot of work
(complete rewrite), but not too difficult because it has the same
windows functions as the PC. But a Symbian version would be
completely different.

I made a Web search for Symbian Commander and got a few hits, but I have no idea how good this tool is, since I don't have any device with the Symbian operating system.

I've tried the Midnight Commander version for Symbian - it was awful to put it mildly, plus it costs. But as Symbian is a Linux based device, it should be possible to build your own with the MC source.

Very nice powerful 2-panels free FM for Symbian is Griffon.
Try Google to search download link (I can't post url on this forum yet).

FExplorer is freeware and works quite well on S6.0

Another good commander-style manager for J2ME phones is MiniCommander. Homepage (in English & Russian).

MiniCommander is cool! it's like MC or FAR and can work with ZIPs... and it works on almost any j2me phone, even siemens...
