Braked the application

Post by *PostaL2600 »

Hello to all in here.

I've installed the pocket application, and after I wanted to switch between "Full" view (or which is the default) to "Brief" view, the application blocked. After that, when I try to start the application it shows only the title, the rest doesn't appear.

I've unistalled / reinstalled the application, deleted the whole Ghisler directory from registry (HCU/Software/Ghisler) but still doesn't work ...

Anybody any other ideea of what I should try next?

Hello, Postal2600.

In order to diagnose your problem and to give some piece of useful advice it would really be helpful if you provided the following details:

+ the exact type and name of you pocket device
+ the exact Windows version it uses
+ the exact TotalComander version you downloaded and installed
+ the way how you installed: via ActiveSync vs directly on the pocket device

Kind regards,
Karl

Hello and thank you for your response.

The Poket PC is: HP iPAQ rz1710
Processor: Samsung S3C2410
Windows: Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition version 4.21.1077 (build 14132)
Total commander version: 2.0
I've installed it via ActiveSync

Hope this will help. I though that you could tell me how to delete all the files and settings that are created by the tc so that the next time will run like the first time.

Solved it. I had to reset the Pocket PC. Sorry. I have it for not much time, and didn't know you could do that. Just started wondering what it would do if the battery was depleted and it hit me: it has to be a reset button :))

But still, this is a good bug to explore

Maybe your device was out of system resources? When you get this problem again, check the free RAM in the settings.
