D-Pad center button, double-clicks?

AHA! Thank you for figuring out the "two action" thing -- that really rang a bell. It turns out that the problem is caused by AEButton Plus, with which I had mapped the center press of the D-Pad to an "Enter" action (so that I could map double and triple presses to something else). I undid that setting, and it resolved the issue.

I guess my next question would be ... is there a way I can still use AEBPlus to map that center D-Pad button?

You need to find a way that either the original message is removed (so you get only one of VK_ACTION or VK_RETURN, not both), or you need to somehow exclude Total Commander from the tool.
