WM2003-se, VGA

Post by *Jerez »

I was wondering whether you plan to update TC for the ppc to work better with WM2003SE devices. The current version is quite functional in these devices (through the system technique ‘double pixeling’) although in landscape mode it uses only about 2/3 of the screen.

I like this program better than some commercial alternatives to the point that it convinced me to purchase the TC for Windows version.

TC/CE should always use the entire screen width. Have you tried to make the columns a bit wider manually?

In Landscape mode, a system option in WM2003 SE that supports VGA displays TC-CE does not use the entire screen, and it appears that you cannot resize the columns manually. Futhermore, the pop-up bottom button bar is hidden and cannot be accessed.

Let me know whether yo would like me to dend you a screen capture.

That's odd, TC/CE requests the image coordinates from Windows CE! Apparently Windows CE is returning the wrong coordinates.

Yes you can, at least on the devices I tested! Unfortunately I don't have access to a VGA screen device, sorry.

If TC is opened when the device is in portrait mode and then the device is rotated to landscape, TC does not occuppy the full landscape screen and you cannot resize the columns/screen to occupy the whole scren. Yet (just found out!) if you open TC when the device is already landscape mode TC occupies the whole screen.

Ah, that's the point, apparently TC/CE doesn't realize that the window width has changed. What about the window height, is it corrected? It should, because TC/CE should already adjust its window height when the input panel is shown/hidden. Can you confirm that?

Assume you start TC in portrait orientation and rotate the screen to landscape mode.

1. The height is OK except for the little pop-up bar in the bottom. It does not show up.

2. The width is off.

Now assume you start TC in landscape mode and rotate the screen to portrait.

1. The height looks fine except for when you invoke the pop-up bar. The pop-up bar appears far from the bottom bar, in a position as if the input panel (e.g. kbd) woud be present

2. The width is off. You cannot see the \, .. and > in the upper right.

Hope this helps and many thanks for your attention...

Ah, thanks for your tests! I will try to adjust the width and also the second toolbar.
