That is true for most versions of the player, but NOT for the embedded versions, which are distributed and installed by Windows Update (not by Adobe Update), and are used for Internet Explorer in Windows 8.1 and 10 - see: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/ - here the last embedded version is 126.96.36.1995.The latest (and the last) FlashPlayer version is 188.8.131.525
I have made an effort to save the latest Adobe full installers after every update the last 8 months (see: https://gadget.madsenworld.dk/Flash/install_flash_player_ax.zip and https://gadget.madsenworld.dk/Flash/install_flash_player.zip ) which are both version 184.108.40.2065 - but install_flash_player_ax.zip is only for Windows XP, Vista and 7 - it will not work under Windows 8.1 and 10.
And I also made sure that the embedded version of the ActiveX player on my Windows 10 system were updated and saved for future use, before Microsoft removed them so brutally. So trust me - version 220.127.116.115 is the latest version for Windows 8.1 and 10
Just before Microsofts removal of the FlashPlayer I exported my entire Windows Registry, so I could compare and see what was removed from the registry by KB4577586 - hence making the necessary .reg file for restoring the data.
In case anybody is interested in the older versions, I have saved these Full Adobe Flash installers:
For Mozilla compatible browsers
For Internet Explorer befor Windows 8
For older Chrome browsers
They can be found here: https://madsenworld.dk/Flash/
