the 3.5 will be interpreted as integer value and that causes an error, so nothing will happen. If you want to change 3.5 hours, than add the plugin with value 3 hours and click more attributes and add value 30 min.

1.filetime_delta64.wdx - ?
Maybe corrected - filetime_delta.wdx64 ?
TC x64 can't see installed 64-bit plugin.

2. Bug in TC Search. If I search "creationtime < 1 day" - it found (for example) 3 files, but "creationtime < 1 year" - only one file.

3. Please, add support for search files, that created(modified) today, yesterday.

@LonerD: Plugin was not made for filesearch, but i can have a look on it and maybe i can support it.

What happens if you change the filename to filetime_delta.wdx64 ? have you tried it?

@Mephi:

When using the plugin in FileSearch the dropdown shows Property 'writetime delta' twice. One of those should be accesstime delta, I guess.

And a 64 bit version of the plugin should be compiled using 64 bit compiler. Renaming a 32 bit compiled version is not going to work.

@ericb: the 64 bit version was compiled with 64 bit Compiler, what you think? :-(

@Mephi:
My bad, the totalcmd.net download says (x32, x64) but it links to the x32 only version, which does not contain a wdx64. I was under the impression you suggested to rename the 32 bits wdx to wdx64.... that would certainly not work :-) Sorry for the incorrect assumption. Only after inspection of the x64 version I saw what LonerD meant.

You might consider to create an all-in-one archive containing both x32 and x64 versions. On the other side, many users (like me) still use the x32 version of TC, even on a x64 windows. Combined archives would also install the x64 versions which those users do not need. So I'm quite happy with separated x32 and x64 versions of a plugin.

Use on TC 64 bit

Post by *Gernij »

I have TC 64 bit installed, but I didn't get this plug-in working. It is a great plug-in and I very mutch like to use it. What can I do to get it work on 64 bit?

I renamed filetime_delta64.wdx to filetime_delta64.wdx64 but that didn't work at first. I tried several things (renaming filetime_delta64.uwdx, copying the uwdx and wdx to uwdx64 and wdx64).

I think its working now, but what's the correct way to do ?
- renaming only filetime_delta64.wdx to filetime_delta64.wdx64
- renaming filetime_delta64.wdx and filetime_delta64.uwdx to*.*wdx64
- copying only filetime_delta64.wdx to filetime_delta64.wdx64
- copying filetime_delta64.wdx and filetime_delta64.uwdx to *.*wdx64

Or should it work as delivered in the zip file ?

Hi,

I've checked the x64 version of the plugin archive and it is indeed not correct. All TC 64-bit plugins should have an extension w[type]x64, where type can be d, l, f or c. Your first rename action should be sufficient to make it functional.
I'm not sure if the unicode version will function if it is renamed to uwdx64. Maybe someone else can answer that.

The name should be wdx64, not uwdx64. There is no need for a separate Unicode plugin for 64-bit TC. Why? All 64-bit Windows versions are capable to handle Unicode, so you need to have just one plugin (Unicode preferred, but ANSI will work as well).

The 64-bit download has still an "udwx64". Will you update it sometimes? If yes, maybe I can take a look for some translations.

Plugin in version 8.01 x64 is not in plugin list

Post by *Martinator »

Hi Mephisto,

I have loaded your plugin and it shows up in the plugin list at the settings. But it does not show up in the list in the "file attributes" dialogue.

my version is 8.01 64 Bit (2012-08-03) under Win7 professional x64.

I have tried under XP SP3 with TC 7.50a (32 Bit) - there it works properly (with downloaded 32 Bit version)

can you confirm?

best regards

error while installing the plugin

Post by *torxx »

Hi Mephisto,
after long search for a tool like yours I was pretty happy to find this TC plugin (v1.3 x32). Unfortunately, filetime_delta.wdx crashed while installation with following error message:
access violation at address 779040E5, read of address 0AE0000C.
Then it refers to a missing dll on my system...(?)
Is there a chance to fix this problem? Or at least to specify which dll is missing?

Thnx in advance
torxx

Alas, looks like no great chances this remarkable plugin to be corrected.

Meanwhile there is a workaround I have found.
http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=314220#314220
1. Extract filetime_delta.wdx only from filetime_delta_1.3_win32.zip
2. Extract filetime_delta64.uwdx only from filetime_delta_1.3_x64.zip
3. Rename filetime_delta64.uwdx to filetime_delta.wdx64
Then being installed this plugin works fine both under 32 and 64 bit versions of Total Commander, 9b7 by now.
Guess that way will be acceptable enough for most of user cases.

"Error" when using "Configure this custom columns view".

Win 10 x64, TC 8.52 32 bit, Filetime_delta 11/2012

When I click "Configure this custom columns view" and then press the "+"-button on the right side of the dialogue for the first time(!), then I get an error message:
"Crash in plugin filetime_delta.wdx:
Acces violation at address 77659D13. Read of address 0B64000C"
After clicking OK on the message I can continue ...
