64 bit version of ChoiceEditor?

Post by *mtemp2 »

Hello,

hopefully not the wrong forum ...

... but for the 64 bit version of TC 8.52a I need/want to have a compatible version of
http://totalcmd.net/plugring/ChoiceEditor_patched.html
http://totalcmd.net/plugring/ChoiceEditor.html

... for opening several files at once (via the F4 key).

Does anybody know such a tool/newer version/other possibility?

thanks!

There is no need for an x64 version.
The x86 version works of course also in the x64 TC.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3527)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1373a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.3, Listary Pro 6.3.0.73
QAP 11.6.3.2 x64

No, "of course" is wrong. Not every x86 version – at least for plugins – works "of course" :(

But I tried it again. ChoiceEditor works in TC 7.55a, 32bit, not in 8.52a, 64bit. In 8.52a only one file will be opened, not all selected files. :-(

It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

oh no, just another background program and another AHK script running in a background...
...

... but I've given it a try – hmm, not as comfortable as choiceeditor (manual editing), but it seems to work, opening more at one document (here: powerpoint files) at once ...

Thanks!

What do you mean?

You can setting up F4miniMenu to open files without any intermediate menus and user actions.

@mtemp2

Just be sure, there is no to edit the XML, INI files themselves. You can use the GUIs for that, tray many, configure editors (or esc-f4 in a filepanel) will show you the list of editors:

and if you click modify on a selected editor you can edit the properties:
