RedSmart - Disk info reader and drive tester

Post by *alexanderwdark »

Now you can test and enjoy RedSmart

Disk info reader and drive tester

- based on great smartmontools
- json configurable
- custom params for each section of data
- cached run of smartctl
- you can edit, add or remove any properties
- so it supports future versions of smartctl
- can execute some smart tests (see self-test section*)
- can modify aam and apm settings (see info section**)
- to see more data try to launch TC as admin***
- but it can show smart info even with limited user!
- run update-smart-drivedb to update local device database

* execute "self_test" virtual file in elevated session and press Ctrl + R to see progress
** execute "ata_aam" or "ata_apm" virtual file in elevated session and press Ctrl + R to see progress
*** you can see data also using Alt + Enter hotkey on sections (virtual folders)

Configure:
modify redsmart.json

Hi, friends! Can you seed SMART-attributes of your drive (in virtual smart subfolder), when running TC as limited user (or non-elevated admin)?

Theoretically - should.

For example, в \\\RedSmart\➔dev➔sdb WDC WD6000HLHX-01JJPV0\smart\
