I know but I'm a bit confused now.
OK, now I see. It is a sfx sqx. But there was an info in the exe "Dieses SFX-Archiv wurde mit der Squeez-Technologie erzeugt."

However, if I remove this entry (I renamed it now)
exe_sqx=95,%COMMANDER_PATH%\plugins\wcx\packer_plugins\sqx\TotalSQX\TotalSQX.wcx

I'm not able to open the archive without renaming the extension.

I thought, sqx has something to do with squeeze. Sorry.

I will try to clarify this.
SQX is a compression format. The file extension used is also SQX. This format is used originally in the packer program Squeez from SpeedProejct. They offer a library which can be used for free in other applications.
Total SQX (packer plug-in) uses this library to add support for SQX to Total Commander. This allows you to pack and unpack SQX archives.
Total SQX Content (content plug-in) allows you to view information on existing SQX archives (Ratio, Signature and so on). In the current version of Total SQX Content this works only if the file extension is SQX.

- I just added the word in bold :
Unpack Protection=Cryptage décompression in order to be more precise, but anyway this is the main feature to disallow the unpacking, and usually "Cryptage" only is understood alright… Thanks to point out this !

- Yes, it's different apparently, but "Cryptage décompression" or "Décompresion protégée" means absolutely the same : password needed to unpack.
