I don't understand why you named your poll "Tabs or not tabs: the poll". There is a checkbox in the configuration dialog where you can decide if you like this feature or not. The poll question "Would you wish to get an (optional) Folder-bar in TC?" has no connection to the the poll title.

Maybe you want to use TCToolbar to add an additional bar: http://clubtotal.free.fr/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=198

Can you make buttons in that toolbar that when clicked will open up 2 windows of your choice?

Two windows? Do you mean opening a path in the left drive file panel and a path in the file right panel?

->yes, it's possible. TCToolbar takes a regular bar-file as input. Buttonbar buttons provide this feature, example:
Command: cd c:\Games
Start path: c:\Windows

I guess TCToolbar provides this feature through the /O parameter.

->no, what kind of windows?

Yes, that's what I meant. I remembered the O parameter after I wrote that message. Sorry about that. :)

Where does this extra toolbar show up then?

:) Hello!
"Tabs or not tabs... etc" is the title of the thread in the English forum...
Links to that thread and to the appropriate Web page are not ambiguous!
:) Best regards,

:D Hello Bob!
 Sorry, I didn't answer to you here sooner... I attempted to do, but the Forum has crashed for some minutes = lost message...
Then, I where very busy with an user's hellish problem (please, watch here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=2740 )

¤ The bar I propose is a so simple tool, not to open 2 folders by the same button. I thought it as handy, for users who aren't keyboard and scripting experts - really the most numerous among the almost 100,000 registrered users-...
¤ The pluggin proposed by Lefteous isn't exactly the same... I've to mail to him too.
:) Best friendly regards,
Claude

How about a poll for 5.51 vs 6.01 usage. Some people don't like tabs.

The effect doesn't seem good

Per default the tabs are not active then for the one who don't want use them this make no difference in 6.01.
You can perfectly use it without the tabs.

I requested some enhancement for the tabs but I use them as they are and when I use a computer with 5.51 I really miss this function.

In favour...

:)    Hello! Bonjour Alain,

• Like parsec wrote, some users don't like tabs...
...but someones would wish to have a simple alternative tool.
• So, they could take advantage of the 6.x versions other improvements too.
¤ Currently, the pool is rather in favour of this optional tool, with regard to the "plugin" supporters.
¤ You're free to think otherwise, of course.

Hi Clo,

True.

I jsut wanna answer to parsec that everybody can use tc 6.01 without the tabs.... and should not stick to v5.51 because of the tabs.
