Which protocol do you use: POP3 or IMAP4?

Hi, after several requests I am thinking of developing a new plugin IMAP4* EmailPlugin based on POP3/SMTP EmailPlugins software architecture. I just want to know if there is a need for this plugin.

*IMAP4 is an extended mail protocol which allows to create folders on the remote server, download and UPLOAD mails, marking messages as read and much more...

I changed your poll so users can check multiple options! It's a modification which I wrote: You need to put a $ sign in front of the poll question to allow multiple answers.

I use IMAP4 all the time since I discovered this wonderful protocol 5 years ago. I even installed my own IMAP4 Mail server now.

But I haven't used it from TC for the moment. I should take a look at it.

did you know that Bluewin.ch Mailboxes can be accessed via IMAP4 Protocol (imap.bluewin.ch) ?
