I disagree about the fuel in the fire. I just noticed a growing discussion in many threads, dealing with the same issue. So I just tried to 'channel' this discussion into a central place.
And don't take the description of the choices too literally. I just wanted three options, like yes - maybe - no.

But I agree with the fact, that I maybe shouldn't have placed this poll after all.

And I mostly agree with karlchen, about not feeding the troll. Always the best.

i think every forum like this one, that deals with a given topic, should have an off-topic subforum. successful forums create a kind of community after some time. then within this community people tend to discuss other issues as well. and the off topic subforum sooner or later becomes handy.
