Example on German Vista:
C:\Program Files - physical Directory
C:\Programme - link to Directory C:\Program Files
This is in TCM7B1 not solved - it is just not realy useable.

Unfortunately these new "hard links" on Vista are still a mystery to me. Their access rights don't seem to allow the user to read from them, and normal file functions fail with them too. If anyone has an idea of how they are meant to work, please let me know!

Here is setting to where program files is:
Folder: c:\Users are where are account, desktop and so on. It doesn't use Document And Setting any more.
Abaut these links: I took ovnership of entire disk. I change from TrustedInstaller to my account. Then i change user Everyone to full control. Now i can use such link. It is only a link to diffrent dir.

Ah, apparently these links have access rights which prevent the normal user from using them. I guess that Microsoft has put them in just for stupid installers which use hard-coded names instead of the Windows functions to determine the correct installation location...
