R/O flag on CD and packing files
When a file is being copied from a CD to the HD, the R/O flag of the files is reset. This does not happen in case of packing files directly from CD to a zip in the HD.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

It's currently not planned to change this, sorry. Most external packers behave this way, so it would be strange if the internal zip packer would behave differently...

I thought this is a TC feature and not a packer one. After all, it could be turned on/off with an INI setting, like it's being done when copying files from HD to HD. Anyway, i hope you decide to change it in the future. It's a little irritating to have to first copy all files from the CD to HD just to clear the R/O flags and then zip them. Perhaps a "clear R/O flags" option in the packing dialog would be even better (if possible).ghisler(Author) wrote:It's currently not planned to change this, sorry.
