Copy dialog - show list of filenames

Post by *solid »

And while we are speaking about copy/move dialog, is it possible to have expansion of the progress bar window to include the file list like in supercopier?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hm, BTM?
No, curently the BTM shows only the directly selected titles for copying.

For example, if we select one dir for copying, only one dir will be shown in BTM. Super copier shows all the files and subdirs, together with filesizes.

BTM display is even more crippled than regular copy progress dialog, because it doesn't show current file progress.

So, any thoughts on this from power users and author?

extra btm features

Post by *skynergy »

I would like to request that these feature be added for the BTM (Background Transfer Manager) to make it a bit more powerful / useful:

1. I would really want to see the title of the current file that is being copied especially when I chose a folder and it is queued in the BTM. If you have very big folders then you don't know where your progress is or how long it will still take. To see the file's title that the BTM is currently busy with will be very handy to get an idea of where it is.

2. It would be awesome if one can move items up or down the list. Sometimes it is only after you have added files / folders to the queue that you want to prioritise them i.e. moving them up or down.

3. Sometimes the network crashes or the destination disk gets full and the BTM then asks to skip the file or cancel. I would really like to see another option to CONTINUE after I have rectified the problem. To "Skip" just causes me to skip a vital file / folder and "cancel" closes the BTM which is disastrous if I have added many files to the queue in the BTM.

4. Can this list not be saved somewhere, where it can then be loaded and started?

Otherwise thanx for an awesome tool!

2. You can do this in TC 7 now, but only while the BTM is paused.

Thank you for adding 2. the ability to move these items up or down! Are you maybe going to look at my other suggestions in the near future?
