For drives you should use mount points, not junctions as they are linking by drive GUID, not path. Anyway, that's a nice workaround definetely! :)

You can create these thingies in drive management or by using "mountvol" in commandline.

Cool. That sounds like it might just work.
I'll try it and let you know how it works out.

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand your comment. Normally I use a junction link to the top of a drive as path d:\ and it seems to work fine.

Yep, of course that works, too. In the end it's a matter of taste and usage purpose.

Mount points have the advantage that they are not linked to a physical path like E:\, so the displayed content changes as soon as you change the drive letter assignments, but instead they are linked to the volume itself by its GUID. You can change the drive letter or even remove it completely, the directory in which you created the mount point in will still show the same content.

Make sure that you set autotreechange=1 under [Configuration] in wincmd.ini
Very nice, works in TC7, too :)

I think, its very important, exspecially for "explorer-changers". imHo it should be default on new installations, at least there should be a perferences-option.

This is how "loose" language gets me in trouble.

I meant the "ability to show/hide a tree inside each tab". Why didn't I say that exactly? I don't know. From a paranoid's point of view my loud complaints about the insufficiency of the TC7 folder trees could be traced back to this remark! Making it all my fault!

If full drag-and-drop functionality etc. was implemented inside and between the trees, a mode that just shows two trees (no file lists) might be useful in some circumstances for folder management. Especially if the folder names were very long or the folder hierarchy very "deep", both of which require more horizontal space to display without scrolling.
