Need help to see folder size

Hi,

I'm a newbie with Total Commander but I really like to use TC from the first time I installed it on my PC.

I do have one question and hopefully you can help me.

How can I see the folder size of each (sub) folder immediatly?
I know you can check it by:
- alt+shift+enter
- use the plugin DirSizeCalc (need to click spacebar)

But what I would like is to see without any keyboard buttons.

Is there a solution?

How about command: cm_CountDirContent ?
Can someone explain how to install this command if this is the solution?

DirSizeCalc provides two types of fields. If you add a "on demand" field you have to press the space key to see the directory size. If you add a "background" field the directory sizes are calculated each time you enter a directory.

I've checked all setting in TC as well as the ini files. But how can I add DirSizeCalc as background?

Instructions to create a custom column view which displays directory size automatically:

1. Right click on a column header
2. click on "configure custom columns" (dialog opens)
3. Click on the new button (dialog opens)
4. Click on the "Add column" button
5. Click on the + button
6. Click on dirsizecalc -> Size (background)
7. Add more fields if you want (repeat steps 4-6)
8. Click on the OK button (Dialog is closed)
9. Click on the OK button (Dialog is closed)
