Post by *wanderer »

CTRL + SHIFT + LEFT ARROW = Open folder in a new tab in the left panel. Same wish for CTRL + SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW of course :).

Yes but isn't that a little strange for a key combination? If CTRL LEFT / RIGHT is used to open a folder on the left/right tab, isn't it more natural to use LEFT / RIGHT keys for opening in a new tab too? Unless there was a problem using that combination, it seems more natural to me.

Of course when in the left panel, CTRL + LEFT would not have any real meaning, only CTRL + RIGHT (and vice-versa of course) but still, they could be used instead of CTRL+SHIFT+UP, depending on the panel you are in.

I think, it's something like an indicator that on the top of the panel something will change (new tab added), that's why the key Up is used. I'm not sure if this is the most ergonomic solution, but anyway I've already got used to it and find it convenient and meaningful enough...

On the contrary, it has meaning! :) Just try it. ;)
