Menu item with unknown id

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Not new…

:) Hello !

• This is right, but not new ! I checked in the old 6.03a version, it's the same… Message "Function not implemented"

• To avoid this, I guess that TC might check the whole menus entries about the commands IDs,
that could slow down the start… (?)

• Aside, I've set a "0" (zero) command to put an inactive title in an additional menu, and it's the same ! Same message…
- But still, the command #0 exists! It's used in the *.INC file, but doesn't work in the menus…
- We miss a real neutral command that does nothing, since the INACTIVE instruction is not supported, I tried,
while it works in other programmes (in C+ and > like XnView…).
- Requested, no reply… :|

Confirmed - in previous versions of TC, unknown commands were shown as disabled (greyed out) in the menu (if the command wasn't given as a number) - they are not shown like this anymore.

Indeed this was changed because it only confuses people when these items are disabled.

what confuse?!
befor, TC was warn the user about unknown command in the menu file then he see this command disabled so he know he cannot execute

but now, TC warn the user about unknown command in the menu file then he see everything is OK, he goes to the unknown command trying to execute but nothing happened

Actually it is now more confused!

:) HelloPeter !
I tend to agree with ts4242
• Me too…
But that couldn't solve my problem for the “Menu Title” using a fake command as text, thought…

Not changed in TC7rc2 - will it be, or should this thread be moved to "TC7 Behaviour which will not be changed" :?:

:) Good evening,

• Well, I'll try to live with…

• Just to know : Why the “INACTIVE” instruction is it not supported in the menus ?
