That's why our company has full technical support and when they bought/will upgrade the computers we can "customize them" ... But Hp and others for some time have their own cd-rw ...lzvk25 wrote:Unfortunately when the companies buy from Dell, HP or any other company they do not pay attention about what kind of cd-burner they got inside their machines. In most cases to cut costs, specially HP and Compaq, they put those taiwan made things and you can imagine our despair. I remember cases where they put Phillips CD-RW's and those were really crappy.
:cry
And please don't tell me about Phillips, Asus & others ... We all know them ...
Why "a plethora"??? Like I said it before it even doesn't worth it! There are a very FEW units that deserve your attention to buy them & to use them ... If not you should prey before any writing session for the worse wouldn't happen to you ...JohnFredC wrote: Perhaps a plugin created by someone who has access to a plethora of CD writers to test with.
And CoMike, I think you wanted to say www.goldenhawk.com

And they are more even simpler(but the code is not handled like they care about the size even you would come across smaller apps that do their job well for the REAL units) just take a look at www.download.com at the section CNET > Downloads > Windows > Audio & Video > CD & DVD Burners if you want.
