Unicode+Rename=Not good

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Unicode+Rename=Not good

Post by *Popelmaus »

Hallo!
I got the TC 7.0 public beta 3.
This day I saw a File with this 襲 Unicode in it. First TC has no Problems with it and shows a message, thet zip and ftp can't handle unicode...
But when I wantet to rename the file and pressed F2 TC allocated more and more memory. TC didn't react on mousclicks etc until my system had not enough memory and i had to kill the progress.

I hope I didn't repeat a known bug...

Greetings

No problem here! I created a file with the above name (by copying and pasting the name from the forum), and received the warning as expected. I could then rename it to a different name without any problems.

Btw, F2 is by default for "Refresh", so you will need to press Shift+F6 for renaming.

I'm sorry, I can't reproduce the bug, too...
