[Lister REQ]: Open viewed file in editor.

Post by *wanderer »

A lister menu option: open viewed file in (text) editor. When you are within lister, viewing a rather large file you have downloaded via ftp, it would be nice if you could "pass" it to a text editor without having to re-download it.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

Workaround: If your editor is in the context-menu, you could use lister's "Save As", right-click the file and choose "Edit" (or how your editor's option there is called).

A native lister option "Open in editor" would be nice / more elegant anyway, so: Support.

This feature was suggested time a long without luck (still)
You can use the plugin Apploader created by Maximus and configure a key for open current file in lister with your favorite application and a different key for launch the file (in lister) with the associate program in your system.
I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry)
