Which of the new features in TC 7 do you use?

Post by *Lefteous »

TC7 is almost final and I guess no more features will be added. I'm just curious what beta and release candidate users think about the new features in TC 7. My question is which features are being used by the users - not how often just if you are using a feature at all. I'm not listing all features just a selection.
You can of course check more than one feature.

Well, I had to check quite a bunch of the listed features:

- Alternate line colors for even and odd lines
- Compare by content editor
- Changing custom attributes
- Log file
- Use editor to multi-rename files
- Thumbnails and custom attributes in overwrite dialog
- New icons (sic!)
- Sort by multiple columns
- Auto-complete paths
- User-defined commands
- Aliases

In addition I use the new single click mode (singleClickStart=6) and the enhanced navigation with cursor keys (SpecialCursorMovement=2)

I mainly copied the list from the "what is new?" list in the help file.

"Separate directory tree(s)" 0 so far, makes me wonder...
I dont use them either, but I am surprised that 0 out of 69 use them...

EDIT: ah now 1% wow.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Please don't confuse the number of votes with the number of votings ;-)

Oops, you're right, but still, I'm curious for the result after many votes.

Another hint: The percentages are quite confusing. This is a bug in the poll system.
Current calculation: percentage(answer) = votes(answer) / total votes * 100
Correct calculation: percentage(answer) = votes(answer) / total votings * 100

I think you misunderstand my previous remark. With 'checking', I did not mean I had to check out many of the features because I didn't know them yet. In fact I use most of them from the moment they were introduced during the alpha/beta stage.

I just meant I had to 'vote' for many of the listed features (by checking the boxes  ), because I actually use them. Sorry for the lilttle confusion.

You are right I really misunderstood your remark ;-)
I was confused about the "had to". It sounded as if you didn't know about the features

"Cursor in Lister" and "New icons", which are really cool. I wonder, why ghisler.com still have the old graphic.
