[BUG] Flickering in thumbnails view when clicking with mouse

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[BUG] Flickering in thumbnails view when clicking with mouse

Post by *icfu »

If you choose any thumbnail with a mouse click, the panel flickers.
If you choose a thumbnail with arrows, it doesn't flicker.

Edit: You have to activate LMB selection to reproduce it. In right click mode it doesn't seem to occur.

Although I became a flickering issues expert since using TC and I could spam the bug reports section with at least ten threads regarding this subject (which will probably end up spamming "TC7 Behaviour which will not be changed" sooner or later), I cannot confirm this.

Maybe it's related to the files being created in that dir?

It only happens when LMB selection is activated. Isn't that weird?

One more feather

:) Hi Jeff !

• Right, I can confirm here, that occurs…
… but needs a Sioux's sight, because it's very short !
• Hence, you win an additional eagle-feather for your Sioux's headgear !

- Note : Indeed I use the LMB, always…

The slower your box, the longer the flicker. The faster you click, the shorter the distance between two flickers and the older your eyes, the more inert they get. ;)

For me it's like a stroboscope.

Maybe TC should be renamed to FC? Flickering Commander?

By the way: TC 6.56 has that bug too.

I can confirm the problem. I never noticed it as I'm using only the right mouse button selection mode.

BTW: Is there any reason why you prepend [BUG] in a new bug forum thread? What else should be posted here ;-)

I prepend it to be able to search in the future. I do the same in the requests forum with [REQ].

:) Here, CPU-Ø @ 2.4 GHz, not the nec plus ultra
By the way: TC 6.56 has that bug too.
- Seems right too, or it's really too much short to be saw by my antiquated eyes…
