With new plugins like NTFS Descriptions for editing metadata several problems arise:
1. The box is not resizable. So much info to add, so little space for editing...
Edit: After having installed Lefteous' new LNK plugin, I request to NOT make the dialog resizable but to turn it into a normal window instead, like the custom column configuration! I need more room and comfort when viewing and editing data.
2. No possibility to enter line breaks – this can easily be done by pressing Ctrl+Enter in the standard file properties shell extension (Edit: only comments field, see below...).
3. Severe flaw of TC internal copy method: There is no check for NTFS metadata when copying/moving from NTFS to FAT partitions! The Explorer copy function gives a warning in this case.

( BTW: In the standard file properties dialog (Explorer) you can do this only for the Comments field. Did you ever try to display a multi-line comment in a column in Explorer?...)
I see another problem here. If the value actually contains line breaks TC shows the line break chracters - not very nice. I suggest to make the input dialog read-only if the value contains line breaks.
I have a few more change requests:
1) Allow the user to call the value editor by pressing the DOWN key in the edit box (similiar to calling command browser).
2) The following applies to editing a single file only!
If a single file has been selected TC deliveres the current value to the editor. If there is no value in the edit box TC loads the value using ContentGetValue. This works fine but if the user changes the field TC still displays the same value. If the user wants to start using the old value he has to delete the current value. I see two solutions:
a) Load the current value into the edit box when the field changes.
b) Reset the edit box when the field changes.
3) Don't forget to add a command with parameter to load a attribute profile.
For simple values line breaks are not required. For more complex values plug-in developers can provide a custom input editor. No possibility to enter line breaks – this can easily be done by pressing Ctrl+Enter in the standard file properties shell extension.

I would very appreciate to read some comments from ghisler after months of no reply. Thank you!

Unfortunately I cannot comment all suggestions, but I'm reading them all, and try to implement what I can. However, I'm currently still in the bug fixing phase - when I fix one, two new get reported here in the forum, or by e-mail. Therefore please be patient.
The attributes dialog is still far from the optimum. For example, a preview would be nice, like in the multi-rename tool...
