Version 0.1.0.69
+ Added support for ID3v1 Tags 127 through 147 thanks to vasyabelkin
* improved UTF8 Support (there may still be errors at the moment)
* experimental view of Album Images when browsing Albums / Songs in Miniature-View

This is by design, yes. Listing all Album names would cause too much directories with large collections But this will be an option in a later version.
2dott:
At the moment only images from within the ID3v2 tag are supported - that means the first image found in any file that belongs to an album will be displayed. (The songfiles itself need an embedded image). folder.jpg's are not supported, yet. Also notice that this is highly experimental at the moment
Promising plugin so far but I'm missing a way to add multiple files to a playlist/player. The %1 parameter just passes one file and drag&dropping a selection won't work either.
This is exactly the plugin I started some months ago, but never finished, mainly due to my problems with getting TC not to hang with my FS plugins
I haven't tried the plugin yet, but haven't seen it mentioned in any post, so here goes - playlists would be great, not only favourites. Just let me create a folder (with F7) and store that as a playlist in the database.
How are you treating the database? Are you closing it completely if there hasn't been any new queries to it for some time? This would make it fairly easy to make a player that shares the database with MP3 Commander. The player should be outside TC, in my opinion.
With the player addition (which I might write, if you're closing the database as I suggest), this plugin would mean that I could delete stop using Windows Media Player once and for all

Thanks, I will look into this.
Drag&Drop from filesystem plugins to desktop seems to be a missing feature from the Total Commander...

Playlist-Support is planned for one of the next releases.
The database will not be closed until the end of a session but this shouldn't be a problem so far, since multiple read accesses are permitted by SQLite

+ cyrillic names should be displayed again, but this "feature" is considered experimental at the moment
+ due to the lack of unicode, however, at the moment some tags may be displayed wrong
+ added support for .wma, .flac, .ogg - .aac and some other formats will follow soon
+ added \Favorites folder
A promising plugin
I would like to see support for Musepack (.mpc) though, since my music is mainly in ogg and mpc format.
And for lossless formats you should maybe consider Wavepack (.wv), Monkey Audio (.ape) and the newest hit - TAK (.tak).

a friend had a system crash, which had to be solved by installing
a new OS. i got his data back with "GetDataBack".
important for him were his MP3 files.
which leads to the problem:
a main dir was made by "GetDataBack" called "backup files"
inside this are alot of orphan dirs called "orphan 0001-000n".
in one of them nearly all album dirs were created
with the usual name like "artist - album"
but the MP3s are spread all over the orphan dirs
i want to do the following:
i am looking for a programm/plug-in, that scans all the MP3s and
reads their names and TAGS. then it should put them into a dir,
that has the same artist/album/file name.
MP3s without a TAG and name should be put in a separate dir.
