Command line cleared on Alt-Tab

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Command line cleared on Alt-Tab

Post by *Hacker »

Fresh ini.
Execute this command from the command line:

Code: Select all

1 2 3
Press Ctrl-Down twice, then Ctrl-Left. Type:

Code: Select all

x
Switch to another window using Alt-Tab.
The command line is cleared.

Expected behavior:
The command line is kept as it is.

Confirmed and agree.
A selected and unchanged line from the command line history is kept, but a changed line is removed/cleared,
when switching to another window.

This occurs, as long as the "old"/stored command lines are displayed.
Also without Ctrl-Left (selecting an old line and then overwriting it by typing something different).
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

I also don't like this behaviour, but unfortunately we have to live with it - it's standard combobox behaviour. :(
