TC7 under Vista x64 1.5gb of memory

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

i have this bug under my Vista64 bit. Total eats 1.5gb of memory, and some 50%of cpu.

Thanks.

Does this happens during deletion of a lot of files?

May be it's the same effect as described here:

Three solutions:

A) If you prefer to use <DEL> without <SHIFT> then set:
"Configuration->Options..->Copy/Delete [ ] F8/deletes to recycle bin (Shift=directly)"

B) If your preferred deletion method is <SHIFT+DEL>, then set:
"Configuration->Options..->Copy/Delete [x] F8/deletes to recycle bin (Shift=directly)"

C) Or use the "Explorer delete method":
"Configuration->Options..->Copy/Delete [x] Use Explorer delete method(faster, cannot handle comments)"

The downside of A) and B) that the deleted files can't be undeleted.

BTW: the memory consumption seems to be temporary. After a while the memory allocated by TC-process went (slowly) to a normal level.

Kind regards,
Holger

thanks a lot. usually I'm using a regular DEL method, and in my recycle options I always select to direct delete.
