If I perform a search in a text file and thereafter change the view from Text to Binary, Hex or Unicode and then press F3 to continue the search I get this message:

It does not happen if I change to (or from) RTF/UTF8 view.

What do you think:
1) UV doesn't have "text cursor" like Lister does.
What should I take as "cursor position": the position of the first visible line, maybe? But is it OK for backward search?
2) What is better: checkbox "backward search" or group box "Direction: Forward/Backward"?
1) I thought that you wanted to implement cursor? I don't understand your question I think.
2) The latter, and you should call it Up/Down and place the radio buttons vertically in logical order, Up above, Down below. The implementation in lister search dialog with checkbox is terrible, typical "ghisler style", with no sense for usability. Your dialog is a real beauty...
1) Is this only until you implement a text cursor? If there is no text cursor, why do you mention the word "cursor"? Maybe there is a misunderstanding, but I am not able to solve it now, it's noon and I am hungry.
2) The description text "Direction" should be clear enough. I have never asked myself what these checkboxes in HiEditor mean at least. No idea.
