Does anyone know of any way to search for and the hopefully rename multiple MAC files in windows/dos.
My problem is I have thousands of MAC files that can't be read properly since they all contain an unusable character which shows up as an "?". The unusuable MAC char is "/" or "\", I can't recall, probably a "/".
Is it possible to find and rename these in Total Commander... tries lost of methods but can't get it right.
Or if anyone knows of any other piece of software that can get the job done I be grateful.
I just love this program and have been usuing it since -94 (I think) and win3.11.
Thanx!
/Dave

Currently you can't rename them, because TC doesn't understand Unicode. TC 6.0 will have partial Unicode support (normal renaming), but things like the multi-rename tool will not work yet.
