Size in footer when using quicksearch

Post by *roentgen »

In brief view mode when using quicksearch with dialog I'd like to see the size of the highlighted file in real-time.

The status bar is always visible, it's just that it doesn't update its content. (sorry if I understood your link wrong -- I didn't actually try it...)

And NO - I'm never looking for ahk, although I find myself forced to use it from time to time

The AHK script has been created for two reasons:
1. the status bar is not completely visible when quicksearch box is opened.
2. it doesn't update its content as long as quicksearch box is opened.

Two birds with one stone, so to say...

Yes, of course ghisler will give you realtime updating soon.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

16.04.08 Added: Quick search dialog: When the user selects files with Insert or Shift+Cursor up/down, move the quick search dialog down so the number of selected files can be seen (only if there is enough space on screen)
...and also please add support for operating TC maximized! Instead of "looking for enough space", why not make the border of quick search dialog thinner so it automatically fits? I mean, the command line box has enough space too, also in maximized state.

Weird implementation again, really...

icfu,
It works here also with TC maximized. I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say...(?)

And besides... I still don't see the footer updating when using key down/up (no selection with INS). I need to quickly compare two or more files for dates and/or size not to cumulate their size.
